Kelly A. Setzer

            Kelly A. Setzer, age 62, of Hickory, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. She was born May 21, 1963 in California, the daughter of the late John Francis McGeever and Margaret Elizabeth Cook McGeever.

            Kelly was a self-employed musician who had a passion for music. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hickory, where she played the piano and organ for over 35 years. She loved horses and dogs. She was incredibly intelligent and an incredible musician which was truly a gift from God. She was involved in many musical performances. She could transcribe and compose beautiful pieces of music. She was a kind, compassionate person who had an impact on many others.

Those left to cherish and honor Kelly’s memories include her husband, Troy Setzer and many friends and church family.

            The family will have a Celebration of Life Service at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 21, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4065 N Center Street, Hickory, NC 28601.
